Frank Miller gets mentioned in this Roy Edroso post about a crank who says he's giving up on American culture, all of it.

This is like when somebody says "I'm leaving the fandom forever!  Baawwwllll!"

Hey! so that Batman: Arkham Asylum game has gotten a lot of great reviews. Quite probably because it is great. Of interest to our little community here: people have been modding it on their PCs in order to re-skin the batfellow.

My favorite is the Zur-En-Arrh bat. I would play the hell out of this game if I could look like that. (As it is now, I'm playing the hell out of the game even though he doesn't.)

Has anyone been reading The Marvels Project? What's your opinion of it so far?

So, I guess we're admitting that the comics aren't what sells DC Comics anymore, now?

Sure, DC Entertainment says that the comics are its cornerstone.  If by "comics" it means the salable intellectual properties created via said comics, they're right.

There are two Al Hartley Christian books for sale at my local library.  If you want, I could mail them to one of you guys so you could write about them.

They are "Barney Bear: Lost and Found" and "Noah's Ark."  The first one is about a little bear who discovers a town full of crazy adults who act like kids because they don't know about Jesus.  The second one is a modern retelling of Noah.

An interesting post over at a horror blog, the Groovy Age of Horror, about Blackest Night and superhero decadence:
